April Barista’s Choice

?APRIL BARISTA HIGHLIGHT | Meet Will ?? And meet his Barista’s choice creation, the “Espresso Sour.” ? It is being featured all of April, so come try it and let us know what you think! We think it’s delicious ?

.
Here’s a little Q&A with Will:
Q: Tell us about your baristas choice drink.
A: My Barista’s Choice drink is the Espresso Sour! Inspired by the classic cocktail genre, it features espresso paired with lemon juice and rosemary-infused simple syrup over ice with a splash of Q Soda. I thought up the Espresso Sour because I think our espresso pairs really nicely with citrus, and so I wanted to showcase this in a fun refreshing drink that’s perfect for the new spring season.

.
Q: Cats or Dogs?
A: I like both but I’m probs more of a cat person.
.
Q: Beach or Mountains?
A: Beach is better.
.
Q: What’s your favorite drink to order in cafés right now?
A: Espresso or a cortado if I’m feeling decadent
.
Q: What book(s) are you reading right now?
A: The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros (shouts-out Driade bookclub) & Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
.
Q: Favorite alt. Milk?
A: Soy. It’s not as hip as oat but I think it complements the espresso without overpowering it
.
Q: Go-to Latte art?
A: Working on my tulips right now
.
Q: Favorite herbal tea?
A: 8. Rooibos all day
.
Q: Favorite Carrboro Coffee Roasters coffee?
A: Probs the Ethiopia Yergz. I love the way the citrusy profile transforms as it cools and the tart lemon notes become almost like meyer lemon
